With the reduction, the prices of RON 92 petro and E5 bio-fuel will not be higher than 16,032 VND and 15,339 VND per litre, said the petrol and oil price control joint team of the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Finance.
The price of diesel oil was also cut by 865 VND, resulting in a cost of not higher than 11,119 VND per litre.
Meanwhile, kerosene is now priced at 10,274 VND per litre, a reduction of 791 VND per litre.
After the first adjustment this year, the prices of petrol and diesel oil are about 1,700 VND and 7,300 VND less than the figures recorded in the same period last year.-VNA
Retail petrol prices were raised by 612 VND (0.027 USD) per litre as of September 18 following five price cuts in a row since July 4 with a combined reduction of 3,000 VND (0.133 USD) per litre.
