Petrovietnam reviews implementation of digital initiatives on enterprise resource planning system

HCM City (VNA)𒐪 – General Director of the Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group (Petrovietnam) Le Ngoc Son on August 2 chaired an online meeting on the group’s implementation of digital initiatives on Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.

At the meeting, Truong Quoc Lam, Chief of Office at the Group and head of the ERP implementation team, reviewed the management and operation of the enterprise resource planning software (SAP – ERP Phase 1), the implementation of the Human Resource Management and Training System (ERP Phase 2) and the Risk Management System (ERP Phase 3). Regarding the management and operation of the ERP Phase 1, departments and units reported the implementation, difficulties and problems during the implementation, and proposed solutions to ensure the system operate smoothly and effectively.
After hearing opinions of representatives from departments, units and consultancy unit NGS Telecommunication and Equipment Joint Stock Company, General Director Son asked the group’s member companies to focus on key tasks to ensure the implementation progress of ERP initiatives. He also asked the consultancy unit to support the group during the operation of the ERP system.
Son emphasised that ERP initiatives play an important role in the group’s digitalisation roadmap which helps the group to improve management and governance capacity. It is also the premise for implementing other digital initiatives in the group's digital transformation roadmap, he added./.
