HCM City (VNA) 💦- The Vietnam International Medical Exhibition - Pharmedi Vietnam 2024, the largest healthcare industry event of Vietnam, opened on September 11 in Ho Chi Minh City.

This year's exhibition features nearly 1,000 booths from businesses representing 25 countries and territories, including Vietnam, the US, Germany, Poland, the Republic of Korea, Japan, China, and Iran. The four-day event highlights various sectors in healthcare, such as pharmaceuticals, medical devices, supplements, and pharmaceutical packaging machinery. Major pharmaceutical companies like GSV Vietnam, Abipha International, and Austra Pharma showcase innovative products and solutions in the medical field.
It also offers valuable opportunities for local and international businesses and investors to exchange experiences and access vital information to support their operations.
Deputy Minister of Health Nguyen Thi Lien Huong underlined the exhibition's role in bringing advanced techniques in medical care, contributing to public health protection. Notably, this year's event highlights high-tech solutions in diagnostics, treatment, smart medical devices, and eco-friendly healthcare products. Several conferences and seminars providing latest information on drug development, registration, and equipment supply solutions for medical facilities will also be held during the occasion./.

A 2023 report by the Vietnam Health Economics Association estimated that the total cost of tobacco-related healthcare and economic losses reached 108 trillion VND (4.14 billion USD) annually – equivalent to 1.14% of GDP and five times higher than the budget revenue generated by the tobacco industry.

ജ Vietnam, France collaborate in vaccine production technology transfer

Under the agreement, VNVC and Sanofi will gradually implement technology transfers to enable domestic production of several key Sanofi vaccines that are widely used in Vietnam. In addition, Sanofi will support VNVC in training human resources and quality management in vaccine research and manufacturing.
