New Delhi (VNA) – ThePhilippines and India on November 13 signed four memoranda of understanding (MoU)in various fields, aiming to foster relations.

The two countries inked deals ondefence, agriculture and related issues, external affairs, and cooperation inmicro and medim-sized enterprises, following the meeting between PhilippinePresident Rodrigo Duterte and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on November13, in the Philippines.

This is the first visit of an IndianPrime Minister to the Philippines in the last 36 years, stressed Preeti Sara,Secretary East of the Indian External Affairs Ministry.
