Vientiane (VNA) – A photo exhibition opened in Vientiane, the capital of Laos,on October 25 on the occasion of the 70th traditional day ofVietnamese voluntary soldiers and experts in Laos (October 30, 1949 - 2019).

Theshow, held by the Lao Defence Ministry, is the first of a series of activities tomark the day.

Ondisplay are 168 photos arranged in three sections. The first one introducesimages of Vietnamese voluntary soldiers and experts operating in Laos from 1945to 1954, when the two countries fought side by side against French colonialistinvaders.

Thesecond section features the Vietnam-Laos fighting alliance, with Vietnamese andLao soldiers living and fighting together in the war against American imperialistfor national liberation from 1955 to 1975.

Thethird one highlights the Vietnam-Laos relations during the period of nationalconstruction and defence from 1976 to now.

Thephoto exhibition aims to help the Lao people and international friendsunderstand better the noble international spirit of Vietnamese voluntarysoldiers and experts who performed international missions in Laos.

Theexhibition will remain open until the end of the year./.
