PM affirms support for Nasdaq’s cooperation with Vietnamese firms
PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc has expressed his wish Nasdaq would further expand cooperation with and provide stronger assistance for Vietnamese enterprises, including VNG to list their shares on the US stock market.

New York (VNA) – Prime Minister NguyenXuan Phuc has expressed his wish that, with its prestige and influence, the NasdaqStock Market would further expand cooperation with and provide strongerassistance for Vietnamese enterprises, including the VNG Joint Stock Company,to list their shares on the US stock market. While receiving Robert H. McCooey Jr, SeniorVice President of Nasdaq’s Listing Services in New York on May 29 (local time),PM Phuc said the Vietnamese Government supports and hopes the cooperationbetween Nasdaq and VNG would bring successes to both sides and contribute tothe enhancement of Vietnam-US economic and trade relations in the time ahead.
Many US companies have been successfully investing, producingand doing business in Vietnam, making important contributions to theachievements of economic and trade cooperation between the two nations, hesaid, adding that Vietnam wants to see more USenterprises to pour investment into Vietnam and vice versa.
For his part, McCooey Jr spoke highly of the PM’sand the Vietnamese Government’s efforts to implement policies to strongly backbusinesses and improve the investment environment.
He ✨told PM Phuc that Nasdaq has signed aMemorandum of Understanding wit❀h VNG on listing the company’s shares on the USstock market.
McCooey Jr said Nasdaq has been impressed atVNG’s business accomplishments and believed that after being listed on theNasdaq stock market, VNG would become a bright spot in terms of start-up modelin Vietnam and receive more interest from the world finance market.
The vice president also expressed his desire toexpand cooperation with Vietnamese businesses and receive more support from thePrime Minister as well as the Vietnamese Government in the coming time.
Nasdaq is one of the world’s leading stockmarkets, while VNG is among the biggest internet and technology companies inVietnam and Southeast Asia with over 2,000 employees and tens of millions ofusers around the globe.-VNA
