Hanoi (VNA) - Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc has approved a planning schemeon exploring, exploiting, processing and using tin, wolfram and antimony by2025 with a vision towards 2035.

Thescheme looks towards the sustainable and effective use of the naturalresources.

Accordingly,Vietnam is expected to complete exploration projects and exploit 3,203 tonnesof tin, 5,610 tonnes of wolfram and 819 tonnes of antimony by 2025.

Themining activities are projected to cost some 2.52 trillion VND (108.36 millionUSD) by 2035 with about 1.1 trillion VND (47.3 million USD) for tin, 1.22trillion VND (52.46 million USD) for wolfram and 191 billion VND (8,213 millionUSD) for antimony.

TheState has restructured small-sized enterprises that use outdated technologies aswell as cause losses of natural resources and environmental pollution.

Inthe time ahead, the State will finalise and supplement relevant policies andlaws in an effort to facilitate tin, wolfram and antimony projects, in tandemwith monitoring mining activities. -VNA
