Hanoi (VNA)  🌃– Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc hosted a reception in Hanoi on May 24 for a delegation from the US-ASEAN Business Council, where he stressed that the business community should be a decisive factor for the sustainability of the two nations’ ties.

He affirmed that the Vietnamese Party and State always attaches importance to the country’s multi-faceted cooperation with the US, especially in economics, trade and investment.
Vietnam continually facilitates the operation of foreign investors in the country, including those from the US, he said, adding that its Government and offices are trying to remove all obstacles to further develop trade, investment and tourism between the two countries. Vietnam wants to learn from other nations’ experience in developing a digital economy and renewable energy, the Vietnamese Government leader stated. He hoped the council will create favourable conditions to support Vietnamese enterprises. He also suggested the council boost cooperation with Vietnam within the framework of the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) agreement.
The council’s Chairman Keith Williams said he wants to help Vietnamese businesses expand the market for their exports. According to him, the Vietnamese Government’s recent issue of a resolution on supporting business development sent a strong message on its resolve to encourage investment and production by the business community, not only at home but abroad. He affirmed that the US business community will do its utmost to canvass the Congress to ratify the TPP as early as possible.-VNA
