Hanoi (VNA) - Prime 🎐Minister Nguye♛n Tan Dung has approved a planning scheme for employment service centres from 2016 to 2025.

Under the PM’s Decision 1833/QD-TTg, the centres will be arranged as following: 24 in the northern mountainous and midland regions, 37 in the Red River Delta, 30 in the central northern and central coastal regions, five in the Central Highlands, 14 in the southeastern region and 21 in the Mekong Delta. The number of job service centres will remain unchanged from now until 2025.
By 2020, all labourers will receive occupational consultancy at the centres. The organisation of the centres will be improved to increase information-sharing and labour supply-demand connectivity to ensure the best assistance for both employers and employees, while increasing occupational opportunities for workers in the context of regional and global integration. Legal documents, recruitment and unemployment insurance policies will be fine-tuned. Under the decision, the State will prioritise investment in job centres in poor localities to improve their operational efficiency and gradually complete the labour market information system.
Enhancing capacity of service staff and promoting application of information technology are important to ensure connectivity between job centres, businesses and training units. In the first half of 2015, the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs (MoLISA) focused on developing the labour market through job centres while building databases related to the supply and demand of labourers. More than 500 job fairs were arranged, and 825,000 job seekers received advice and were introduced to employment opportunities during the period. Close to 347,000 found their jobs through employment service centres.
The MoLISA plans to find jobs for 1.6 million people in the remaining months of this year. It will also concentrate on building short- and long-term reports on labour market forecasts to inform labour and employment policies.-VNA
