Osaka (VNA) – Prime MinisterNguyen Xuan Phuc and the Vietnamese Government delegation arrived at Kansai InternationalAirport, Osaka, Japan, at 14:50pm (local time) on June 27, to attend the 14th G20 Summit and visit Japan at the invitation of his Japanese counterpart ShinzoAbe.
The PM was met at the airport byParliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs Kiyoto Tsuji, Chiefof Protocol for Ministry of Foreign Affairs Kiminori Iwama andofficials of Osaka prefecture. On the Vietnamese side there were VietnameseAmbassador to Japan Vu Hong Nam and Consul-General in Osaka Vu Tuan Hai.
The 14th G20 Summit will take place on June 28 and 29in Osaka. It is expected to deal with a range of global issues concerning trade,investment, innovation and the digital economy, the environment, energy andclimate change, sustainable development, employment, women’s issue and healthcare.
Vietnam is among eight special guests at this year’sG20 Summit. Besides taking part in discussions, PM Phuc is scheduled to holdbilateral meetings with leaders of many countries, as well as with businessesand friendship organisations in Kansai region.-VNA
