Hanoi (VNA) – Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc said he wants Vietnam and Malaysia toseek measures to boost bilateral trade during his reception for Malaysian Minister for International Trade andIndustry Datuk Seri Mustapa Mohamad in Hanoi on December 9.

The PM hoped the twocountries soon complete and implement the Vietnam-Malaysia Action Programme for2017-2019 to implement specific cooperation in economy, trade, and investment.

He appreciated Malaysia’scooperation projects in Vietnam, which he said not only benefit enterprises ofboth sides but also contribute to Vietnam’s socio-economic development.  

The PM affirmed theVietnamese government will reform administrative procedures to create the bestpossible conditions for investors, including Malaysian investors, and saidpotential for cooperation between the two countries remains big.

Minister Mustapa Mohamadagreed that Vietnam has many opportunities for investment and business, addingthat many business joint ventures between Malaysia and Vietnam are operativeeffectively.

He said he is beingaccompanied by 40 business representatives who came to explore opportunitiesfor investment.

The Minister saidgovernmental agencies of both countries should closely monitor bil♉ateralagreements to ensure they are implemented on schedule.-VNA
