Hanoi (VNA) – Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung’s performance at the live 🐓televised question and answer session at the 10th meeting of the 13th National Assembly on November 18 satisfied many voters nationwide who agreed with his explanations on various issues.

Cao Thanh Trung, a voter from the Ministry of Planning and Investment held that the PM mentioned almost all hot topics and solutions to them, including the socio-economic situation in 2015 and orientations for following years as well as ways to improve the investment environment and reduce poverty in a sustainable manner. Trung lauded the Government’s efforts to reach the set targets, including a GDP growth of 6.5 percent, and poverty ratio reduction to 4.5 percent. Meanwhile, Nguyen Duc Cai, a veteran from the northern province of Hai Duong said that the PM and Cabinet members gave responsible and honest answers to deputies’ questions, frankly acknowledging their weaknesses.
Especially, the Government leader’s explanations in issues related to policy beneficiaries and the underprivileged met voters’ expectations, he said. Tran Anh Tuan, a businessperson from Ho Chi Minh City , said he is happy with the PM’s idea on the Government’s future tasks, including mobilising the involvement of agencies, organisations and individuals in boosting the socialist-oriented market economy in line with the development of culture and people-centred society. Following the session on the television, voter Duong Trong Hung, a retiree from Hanoi , showed interest in the PM’s answers related to macro-economic stability, public and bad debts. Regarding sea and island issues and maritime economy, many voters are satisfied with the PM’s firm attitude of strengthening friendship and win-win cooperation with China in all fields but resolutely protecting sovereignty, national integrity and interest.
Khuat Minh Phuong, a former official from the Central Highlands province of Lam Dong lauded the quality of both questions and answers during the session, which showed the earnest and straightforward attitude of deputies and Cabinet members. Pleased with the renovation of the Q&A session with clear responsibility of each Cabinet member in responding to deputies’ queries, Phan Thanh Son, a veteran from the southern province of Binh Duong is still concerned about the responsibility of localities in explaining their problems. He said he hopes the new Q&A method will also be applied at upcoming provincial People’s Council meetings in a bid to increase the efficiency of solutions to local issues. The Q&A session, which lasted two days and a half, was also applauded by many NA deputies. Ho Thi Thuy, a representative from Vinh Phuc province, spoke highly of Cabinet members’ efforts in clarifying the questioned issues, which showed their responsibility towards the NA and voters.
Meanwhile, Le Thi Nguyet, another Vinh Phuc representative, said that she will keep a close watch on how the Government will deal with the existing problems after the session, which reflects the real efficiency of the Q&A session.-VNA
