Da Nang (VNA) – President Vo Van Thuong metvoters in the central city of Da Nang on April 27 ahead of the fifth session ofthe 15th National Assembly.

Local voters voiced their opinions over amendments to the LandLaw, support for businesses affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, efforts to fight corruption and high-tech crime, and scientific-technological application in farming.

Clearing up their concern over the Land Law, PresidentThuong affirmed that the amendment and supplement of the law have been carried out basedon the review and assessment of the enforcement process.

The leader noted that apart from contributions tosocio-economic development, many limitations and shortcomings, even wrongdoings,have been detected during the implementation of the legal document.

He told the voters that during the fight against corruption and negative phenomena, quite afew officials have been found committing violations of land-related regulations.

Therefore, Resolution 18-NQ/TW has stressed the stance of optimising land resources and resolutely putting an end to land-related corruption, speculation and wastefulness. 

The President affirmed that the Party and the Statewill push ahead with the fight against corruption and negative phenomena and steadfastly punish officials who commit corrupt acts in the spirit of zero tolerance.

At the same time, efforts will be made to constantlyperfect the legal system, streamline administrative procedures, removeobstacles to production and business, and develop a contingent of qualified officials,he said./.
