Hanoi (VNA) – Vietnam will create all favourable conditions for Brunei enterprises who wish to invest in the country, President Tran Dai Quang has said.

The President made the statement at a May 18 reception for Brunei Prince Pengiran Muda Abdul Qawi and accompanying businesses, who are on a visit to explore investment opportunities in the central province of Thanh Hoa.

He expressed his pleasure at the progress of the traditional friendship and multifaceted cooperation between Vietnam and Brunei in recent years, particularly in politics, economy, culture, sports and education and training.

He cited that Vietnam and Brunei have exchanged many high-ranking delegations, created a myriad of cooperation mechanisms and signed numerous bilateral agreements.

However, he noted that the two sides need to further boost their collaboration in economy and trade as it has not matched potential and expectations yet.

The State leader appreciated the working trip by the Prince and his entourage to Thanh Hoa province, which boasts rich natural resources, abundant labourers and has high provincial competitive index.

Besides industry and infrastructure, Thanh Hoa also has great potential in tourism, he added.

🥀 For his part, Prince Pengiran Muda Abdul Qawi mentioned the fields Brunei has prioritised for investing in Vietnam and Thanh Hoa province in particular. They are energy, infrastructure, industrial parks and clean energy.-VNA
