Quang Binh (VNA) – The centralprovince of Quang Binh has stepped up activities to stimulate tourism demand, aimingto welcome 3.5 million tourists this year. 

The province’s tourism sector has improvedand diversified products, developed human resources, upgraded infrastructure andboosted regional and global connectivity to attract visitors.

Along with upholding the efficiency ofexisting flights, the sector has accelerated the launch of new flights todomestic and foreign tourism hubs.

The provincial Tourism Association and localtravel agencies partnered with the Hanoi Railway Corporation to launch apartnership programme on tourism demand stimulation via railway, under whichtourists to and from Quang Binh will be provided with information regardingtours, accommodation and major landmarks.

The province held Hoang Phuc pagodafestival, Phong Nha – Ke Bang carp competition, built a wall-painting road inCanh Duong coastal village and organised a fish worship festival in Canh Duong.

A cultural-tourism festival is scheduled forApril 24 – May 1 in Dong Hoi city while a culture-sports-tourism festival and afull moon festival will take place in Minh Hoa district in April.

In the first quarter thisyear, up to 727,000 holidaymakers visited Quang Binh, up 12 percent annually,33,000 of them are foreigners, up 8 percent year-on-year.-VNA
