Quang Ninh (VNA)🔴 – Tourism in Quang Ninh province is booming this summer as a wave of vibrant cultural and entertainment experiences, led by dazzling weekly fireworks, ignites a new trend in dynamic nighttime travel, adding fresh allure to this heritage-rich coastal destination.

According to local plans, fireworks shows will be held at multiple locations, with Ha Long Bay as the focal point. More than mere entertainment, these displays are part of a strategic cultural tourism product aimed at strengthening the region’s brand. Complementing the fireworks, the province is offering a coordinated series of artistic performances, musical events, and local cuisine showcases. These elements transform each evening into an emotionally rich journey, encouraging visitors to linger beyond the usual daytime bay tours and immerse themselves in the vibrant night scene along the heritage coast. A host of new entertainment and cultural offerings are also being launched, creating a multifaceted experience for tourists. Notably, the Halo Fest music series, held at Halong Marina Square from July 12, features top performers such as Duc Phuc, Orange, DJ Trang Moon, and RamC, drawing thousands of visitors. The Halong Marina area and nearby lighthouse have become weekend music hubs, contributing to Ha Long’s image as a “city that never sleeps.”
A premium blend of tourism, art, and luxury is also being showcased through Love in the Bay, a musical light show aboard the Ambassador II cruise ship. Debuting on May 17, the event has set a Vietnamese record as the largest outdoor cruise performance. With a 500-seat floating stage, cutting-edge technology, and a lineup of professional artists, the show offers an upscale entertainment experience that encourages longer stays and higher tourist spending. Onshore, cave tourism is being reimagined through artistic innovation. The “In Search of the Pearl” live show, held inside the natural Ngoc Rong Cave by Bai Tu Long Bay, integrates traditional art with immersive stage technology. The show offers a creative approach to enriching local cultural value. Tourism experiences are also becoming increasingly personalised. On cruises, travellers can take part in cooking classes, seafood preparation, traditional art performances, and local culinary tastings, fostering interactive, authentic encounters with regional culture.

Tour operators have expanded their offerings with diverse itineraries: the “Two Bays – One Journey” tour connecting Bai Tu Long and Ha Long or Lan Ha bays; new discovery routes in Co To special zone; overnight cruise experiences; and hot air balloon rides in Tuan Chau, all geared toward deep exploration, leisure, and personalised travel. This year’s tourism products stand out not only for their variety but also for their content-rich design, offering multi-layered experiences. From fireworks and music festivals to cruises, live shows, cuisine, and wellness, every element works toward a common goal: encouraging longer stays, extending tourism activities from day to night, from shore to bay, and from recreation to artistic appreciation.
These evolving, experience-driven offerings are enhancing the overall value of travel, increasing tourist retention, boosting average spending, and benefiting related sectors such as accommodation, food services, transport, and retail. More importantly, they are reshaping Quang Ninh’s image, not just as a land of natural wonders, but as a vibrant, modern hub for cultural and entertainment tourism with lasting appeal./.
