Quang Tri border guards bust trans-national drug trafficking ring

Quang Tri (VNA) – The border guard force of the centralprovince of Quang Tri has broken a trans-national drug trafficking ring, seizingtwo Lao suspects, 118,000 meth pills and one gun.
Kham La, 32, and Bi Vieng (22), both residing in Khamsidavillage, Champhon district, Savannakhet province of Laos, were arrested at 12:00pmon March 8 at Phosi village, Phanlansay district of Savannakhet province.
According to the Quang Tri Border Guard Command, as surroundedby the border guards and security authorities of Savannakhet, the duo usedtheir car to escape and fiercely resisted with the gun before being arrested.
