Quy Nhon port receives 6.5 million tonnes of goods in 2013

For the first time in its 38 years of operation, Quy Nhon port in thecentral province of Binh Dinh has served over 6 million tonnesof goods per year.

The volume of goods handledat Quy Nhon port is estimated at 6.5 million tonnes this year, 15percent and 8.3 percent increases from 2012 and its set target,respectively.

It is expected to earn 477 billionVND (22.7 million USD) in revenue and 28 billion VND (1.3 million USD)in profit in 2013, representing respective rises of 14 percent and 35percent from a year earlier.

These figures are forecast to be 8.4 percent and 3.7 percent higher than the port’s revenue and profit targets this year.-VNA
