Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh hosted a red-carpet welcome ceremony in Hanoi on April 9 morning, for his Spanish counterpart Pedro Sánchez, who is paying an official visit to Vietnam from April 8 to 10.

This is the first visit to Vietnam by a Kyrgyz prime minister since the two countries established diplomatic relations in 1992. The trip is expected to develop the Vietnam – Kyrgyzstan friendship and cooperation in a more substantive and effective manner across all sectors.

President To Lam on August 1 hosted a red-carpet welcome ceremony for President of Timor-Leste José Ramos-Horta who is paying a state visit to Vietnam from July 31 to August 3.

Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong chaired a red-carpet welcome ceremony for Chinese Party General Secretary and President Xi Jinping on the afternoon of November 12.
