Reference exchange rate adjusted down at week’s beginning

The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate for the US dollar at 24,161 VND/USD on October 14, down 14 VND from the last working day of the previous week.

Hanoi (VNA) - The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate for the US dollar at 24,161 VND/USD on October 14, down 14 VND from the last working day of the previous week.

With the current trading band of +/- 5%, the ceiling rate applicable for commercial banks during the day is 25,369 VND/USD and the floor rate 22,953 VND/USD.

At major commercial banks, the opening hour rates decreased.

At 8:25am, Vietcombank listed the buying rate at 24,640 VND/USD and the selling rate at 25,000 VND/USD, both down 30 VND from October 11.

ꦰ BIDV also posted the buying rate at 24,640 VND/USD and the selling rate at 25,000 VND/USD, both down 25 VND./.
