Reference exchange rate continues downward trend on December 24

Hanoi (VNA) ♑- The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate for the US dollar at 24,308 VND/USD on December 24, down 7 VND from the previous day.

With the current trading band of +/- 5%, the ceiling rate applicable for commercial banks during the day is 25,450 VND/USD and the floor rate 23,400 VND/USD.
At major commercial banks, the opening hour rates saw decreases. At 8:15 am, Vietcombank listed the buying rate at 25,223 VND/USD and the selling rate at 25,523 VND/USD, down 7 VND from December 23. Meanwhile, BIDV listed the buying rate at 25,225 VND/USD and the selling rate at 25,523 VND/USD, down 5 VND and 7 VND from the previous day, respectively./.
