Hanoi (VNA) - The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily referenceexchange rate at 23,137 VND per USD on February 9, down 12 VND from theprevious day.
With the current trading band of +/-3 percent, the ceiling rate applied tocommercial banks during the day is 23,831 VND/USD and the floor rate, 22,443VND/USD.
The opening hour rates at some commercial banks saw a strong decrease.
At 8:25 am, Vietcombank listed the buying rate at 22,830 VND/USD and theselling rate at 23,040 VND/USD, both down by 50 VND from February 8.
BIDV cut both rates by 30 VND, listing the rates at 22,880 VND/USD (buying) and23,080 VND/USD (selling).
At Vietinbank, both rates were adjusted down by 48 VND, offering 22,810 VND/USD(buying) and 23,057 VND/USD (selling)./.
The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate at 23,149 VND per USD on February 8, down 5 VND from the last working day of the previous week (February 5).
