Reference exchange rate down 2 VND on February 25

The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate at 23,130 VND per USD on February 25, down 2 VND from the previous day.

Hanoi (VNA) - The StateBank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate at 23,130 VND per USD onFebruary 25, down 2 VND from the previous day.

With the current trading band of +/-3percent, the ceiling rate applied to commercial banks on the day is 23,824 VND/USDand the floor rate 22,436 VND/USD.

The rates listed at commercial banks sawslight fluctuations.

At 8:25 am, Vietcombank listed thebuying rate at 22,900 VND/USD, and the selling rate 23,100 VND/USD, both down10 VND from February 24.

Meanwhile, the rates at BIDV weremaintained unchanged at 22,925 VND/USD (buying) and 23,125 VND/USD (selling).

Vietinbank added 2 VND to both rates,listing the buying rate at 22,880 VND/USD, and the selling rate at 23,120VND/USD./.

🅷 Overnight interbank interest rate hits 16-month low thanks to abundant liquidity

According to the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV), in the interbank market, the trend of decreasing overnight interest rates has continued, starting at 3.13% in the first session of last week and gradually decreasing over the sessions to 1.67% at the last session of the week. In total, overnight interest rates decreased by 1.46 percentage points within one week.
