Hanoi (VNA) – The reference VND/USD exchange rate was announced at 22,215 VND on December 8, down 9VND from the rate on the day before.

With the current trading band of /- 3 percent, the ceiling rate appliedfor commercial banks on the day is 22,778 VND and the floor rate, 21,452 VNDper USD.

The opening-hour rates listed at commercial banks saw slightfluctuations.

Vietcombank cut its buying rate by 20VND to 22,660 VND and selling rateby 10 VND to 22,750 VND for one USD compared to December 7 rates.

At Techcombank, the buying rate was listed at 22,650 VND, down 20 VNDand the selling rate at 22,735 VND per USD, down 30 VND.

The buying rate was listed by BIDV at 22,660 VND and the selling rate at22,740 VND for one USD, both down 30 VND./.
