Reference exchange rate drops by another 1 VND on September 28

The State Bank of Vietnam adjusted the daily reference exchange rate on September 28 down another 1 VND to 22,714 VND/USD.

Hanoi (VNA) - TheState Bank of Vietnam adjusted the daily reference exchange rate on September 28down another 1 VND to 22,714 VND/USD.

With the current trading band of +/- 3 percent, the ceiling rate applied to commercial banks during the day is23,395 VND/USD and the floor rate 22,032 VND/USD.

The opening hour rates at commercial banks sawlittle change compared to September 27.

BIDV kept its rates unchanged forthe second day, listing the buying rate at 23,310 VND/USD and the selling rate at23,390 VND/USD.

Vietcombank reduced both ratesby 5 VND, listing the buying rate at 23,305 VND/USD and the selling rate at23,385 VND/USD

Meanwhile, Techcombank slashedthe buying rate by 5 VND to 23,285 VND/USD and kept the selling rate unchangedat 23,390 VND/USD.

The reference exchange rateopened the week down 3 VND from the rate on the last day of previous week(September 21) to 22,709 VND/USD. It was adjusted up on the next two daysbefore down again on the last two days of the week, ending the week at 22,714VND/USD.

The rates at commercial banksmostly on the rising trend during the week, with the increases taping offtowards the end of the week. -VNA
