Reference exchange rate goes up 4 VND

Hanoi (VNA)– The State Bank of Vietnam adjusted its reference VND/USD exchange rate up by4 VND from July 4 to 22,444 VND/USD on July 5.

With the current  +/- 3 percent VND/USD trading band, the ceiling exchange rateis 23,109 VND per USD and the floor rate is 21,765 VND per USD.

Slight fluctuations were seen in rates offered by major commercial banks at theopening hours.

Vietcombank offered 22,700 VND (buying) and 22,770 VND (selling), per USD, up 5VND from the day ago.

BIDV also offered the same rates as Vietcombank, with 22,700 VND (buying) and22,770 VND (selling), per USD, unchanged from July 4.
