Reference exchange rate goes up 4 VND

Hanoi (VNA) – The State Bank of Vietnam set the dailyreference exchange rate at 22,787 VND/USD on the morning of December 18, up by4 VND from December 17.

With the current trading band of /- 3 percent, the ceiling rate applied bycommercial banks for the day is 23,469 VND/USD and the floor rate is 22,105VND/USD.

At 8:00 at the transaction office of the State Bank of Vietnam, the buying ratewas 22,700 VND/USD, up 5 VND, while the selling rate was 23,415 VND/USD.

Commercial banks increased their prices of USD sharply.

At 8:00, Vietcombank posted 23,270 – 23,360 VND/USD for its buying andselling rates, up 15 VND from the day ago.

At BIDV, the buying and selling rates were 23,270 – 23,360 VND/USD, up 30 VND.

Techcombank offered 22,250 – 23,360 VND/USD as its buying and selling rates, up15 VND.-VNA
