Reference exchange rate goes up 7 VND

The State Bank of Vietnam announced the reference exchange rate for VND/USD on January 17 at 22,168 VND per USD, up 7 VND from the day before.

Hanoi (VNA) – The State Bank of Vietnam announced thereference exchange rate for VND/USD on January 17 at 22,168 VND per USD, up 7VND from the day before.         

With the current trading band of /-3 percent, the ceiling rate appliedto commercial banks during the day is 22,834 VND and the floor rate, 21,503 VNDfor one USD.

The rates listed at commercial banks on January 17 morning remainedstable.

At BIDV, the rates were kept unchanged from January 16, at 22,530 VND(buying) and 22,600 VND (selling) per USD.

Eximbank also maintained the same rates as on January 16, at 22,510 VND(buying) and 22,610 VND (selling) for one USD.         

The buying rate at Vietinbank was listed at 22,530 VND and the sellingrate at 22,600 VND per USD, the same as the previous day.        

Meanwhile, Vietcombank cut both rates by 5 VND, to 22,530 VND (buying)and 22,600 (selling).-VNA
