Reference exchange rate going up on September 18

The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate for the US dollar at 24,151 VND/USD on September 18, up 10 VND from the previous day.

Hanoi (VNA) - The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate for the US dollar at 24,151 VND/USD on September 18, up 10 VND from the previous day.

With the current trading band of +/- 5%, the ceiling rate applicable for commercial banks during the day is 25,359 VND/USD and the floor rate 22,943 VND/USD.

At major commercial banks, the opening hour rates went up.

At 8: 37am, Vietcombank listed the buying rate at 24,460 VND/USD and the selling rate at 24,800 VND/USD, both up 80 VND from September 17.

ꦆ Similarity, BIDV raised both rates by 90 VND, posting the buying rate at 24,470 VND/USD and the selling rate at 24,810 VND/USD./.
