Reference exchange rate kept unchanged

The State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) on January 19 kept the daily reference VND/USD exchange rate unchanged from the previous day at 22,406 VND/USD.

Hanoi (VNA) – The State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) on January 19kept the daily reference VND/USD exchange rate unchanged from the previous dayat 22,406 VND/USD.

With the current trading band of  +/- 3 percent, the ceiling rate appliedto commercial banks during the day is 23,075 VND/USD and the floor rate 21,739VND/USD.

The opening hour rates at commercial banks stayed rather stable, withVietcombank maintaining the same rates as on January 18. The greenback isbought at 22,675 VND/USD and sold at 22,745 VND/USD at the bank.

Vietinbank listed the rates at 22,677 VND/USD (buying) and 22,747(selling), both up 2 VND as compared to a day earlier.

Meanwhile, Techcombank also kept the rates unchanged from January 18, at22,665 VND/USD (buying) and 22,755 (selling).-VNA
