Daily reference exchange rate up 5 VND to 22,571 VND/USD on June 4 (Source: VNA)
Hanoi (VNA) – The daily reference exchange rate opened the weekgoing up 5 VND from the end of last week to 22,571 VND/USD on June 4.
With the current trading band of +/- 3 percent, the ceiling rate appliedto commercial banks during the day is 23,248 VND/USD and the floor rate 21,894VND/USD.
The opening hour rates at commercial banks fluctuated slightly comparedto June 1.
Vietcombank raised both rates by 5 VND, listing the buying rate at22,770 VND/USD and the selling rate at 22,840 VND/USD.
Meanwhile, the rates at BIDV were slashed by 5 VND to 22,760 VND/USD(buying) and 22,830 VND/USD (selling)/.
Techcombank reduced the buying rate by 30 VND to 22,710 VND/USD and theselling rate by 35 VND to 22,795 VND/USD.
Last week, the daily reference exchange rate was adjusted up threetimes, on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. It was down on two days, Wednesday andFriday.
At the beginning of the week, the rate was set at 22,596 VND/USD and itended the week on June 1 at 22,566 VND/USD.-VNA
The State Bank of Vietnam raised the daily reference exchange rate for the second day in a row, setting the rate at 22,605 VND/USD on May 29, up 9 VND from the previous day.
