Reference exchange rate up 9 VND on September 22

The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate at 23,200 VND per USD on September 22, up 9 VND from the previous day.

Hanoi (VNA) – The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate at23,200 VND per USD on September 22, up 9 VND from the previous day.

With the current trading band of +/-3 percent, the ceiling rate applied tocommercial banks during the day is 23,896 VND/USD and the floor rate, 22,504VND/USD.

The opening hour rates at most of commercial banks stayed stable.

At 8:30 am, Vietcombank listed the buying rate at 23,060 VND/USD and theselling rate at 23,270 VND/USD, both unchanged from the previous day.

BIDV listed the buying rate at 23,085 VND/USD and the selling rate at 23,265VND/USD, both unchanged from September 21.

Techcombank also kept both rates unchanged from the previous day, listing thebuying rate at 23,070 VND/USD and selling rate at 23,270 VND/USD./.

🍌 Overnight interbank interest rate hits 16-month low thanks to abundant liquidity

According to the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV), in the interbank market, the trend of decreasing overnight interest rates has continued, starting at 3.13% in the first session of last week and gradually decreasing over the sessions to 1.67% at the last session of the week. In total, overnight interest rates decreased by 1.46 percentage points within one week.
