September 21 (VNA) – “A soulful Vietnam” – a Vietnamese tourism promotion event - was held in Washington D.C., the US, the Southeast Asian country’s fifth largest tourism market, on September 19.

Footage of Hanoi broadcast by the US’ Cable News Network (CNN) has received positive feedback from the audience, Sunita Rajan, CNN Senior Vice President for Asia-Pacific region said.

Vietnam will lure more US tourists in the coming time as the Vietnam Travel Association and the US Travel Association are set to ink a tourism cooperation agreement during the upcoming Vietnam International Travel Mart 2017 (VITM 2017).

Vietnam has become a big tourist attraction for United States citizens, with over 330,000 visitors in 2015, an increase of 33 percent year-on-year.
