The Thai Government has sped up the application process to just 30 minutes for enterprises looking to export rice instead of having to wait three days as in the past.

Rice exporters of Vietnam and Thailand are competing to gain a larger market share in the Philippines, reported Nikkei Asia in an article published on August 2.

Vietnam’s rice output is expected to reach 43 million tonnes in 2024, which is able to ensure domestic consumption and export demand of more than 8 million tonnes, according to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.
