RoK firms gain insight into taxation, customs procedures

The Finance Ministry hosted a dialogue with Republic of Korea (RoK) firms operating in Vietnam in Hanoi on August 22 to update them on taxation and customs procedures and policies.

Deputy FinanceMinister Do Hoang Anh Tuan and senior officials from the GeneralDepartment of Taxation and the General Department of Customs alsofielded questions about regulations in exports, imports and productioninvolving RoK enterprises.

RoK Ambassador Jun Dae-joo said theKorean business community wants more support from the Vietnamesegovernment, especially in taxation and customs, making it easier forthem to do business in Vietnam.

Deputy Minister Tuan said hehopes for more recommendations from participants to better relevantpolicies up to international standard.

Around 4,000 companiesfrom the RoK are operating in Vietnam. RoK investors poured over 3.13billion USD into the Southeast Asian country in the first seven monthsof this year.-VNA
