Hanoi (VNA) –
The Republic of Korea (RoK) attaches great importance to its strategiccooperative partnership with Vietnam and hopes that bilateral ties will developfruitfully in all spheres, channels, and levels.

The statement was made by visiting Speaker of the RoK National Assembly ParkByeong Seug while meeting with Tran Van Tuy, head of the Vietnamese NA’sCommittee for Deputy Affairs and President of the Vietnam-RoK FriendshipParliamentarians’ Group, in Hanoi on November 3.

The RoK also supports Vietnam’s development, he emphasised.

Lauding the activities of the friendship parliamentarians’ groups of the twocountries to date, Park said he hopes they can step up ties and furthercontribute to advancing relations between Vietnam and the RoK.

He urged the two sides to continue supervising the implementation ofcooperation agreements reached by the two Governments and supporting businessesand citizens of the two countries.

For his part, Tuy said the Vietnam-RoK strategic cooperation partnership isdeveloping strongly, with all-level exchanges maintained.

The friendship parliamentarians’ groups will work harder to boost cooperationbetween the two countries, he promised, suggesting the RoK side maintain itssupport for the Vietnamese community, particularly Vietnamese brides, in thecountry.

The RoK NA Speaker is paying an official visit to Vietnam from October 31 toNovember 4 at the invitation of NA Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan./.
