According to the tourism council of theregion which comprises Daejeon, Sejong, South Chungcheong, and North Chungcheong,recently representatives from the RoK discussed with those from Vietnameselocalities on the opening of a direct air route between Cheongju and Van Donairports, and other measures to promote exchanges between the two countries.
Earlier, representatives from the tourism councilof the region visited Ha Long city where they signed a memorandum ofunderstanding on cooperation with the Vietnamese tourism sector.
A Ha Long K-Street imbued with the Koreanstyle is expected to be put into operation next April, with an aim to promotethe country’s culture in the city.

Thanks to its unique natural beauty, Vietnam’s Ha Long Bay was listed among the 51 most beautiful destinations in the world by luxury and lifestyle travel magazine Condé Nast Traveler in October.
Vietnam has ranked second among the most favorite destinations for travellers from the Republic of Korea (RoK), according to statistics provided by the immigration agency of the RoK Ministry of Justice.
