Hanoi (VNA) – Prime Minister of Romania Dacian Ciolos began his official visit to Vietnam at the invitꦍation of Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc on July 11.
Ciolos is scheduled to discuss with Vietnamese top leaders ways and means to step up the traditional friendship and multi-dimensional cooperation between the two countries.
As such, bilateral cooperation in trade-investment, education and training, culture-tourism, science-technology, the oil and gas industry, energy, defence technologies, the environment, employment, and local connectivity is expected to enter the next phase.
During the visit, regional and international issues of shared concern will be touched upon by the leaders.-VNA
The Centre for Indochina Studies (CIS) has been opened in Romania recently, aiming to bolster relations among Romania and Indochina countries, including Vietnam.
Romania is calling for more Vietnamese investment in multiple fields, said Oana Bizgan, Counsellor for the Minister of Economy, Commerce and Business Environment Relations of Romania.

Giang said he believes that building on the solid foundation nurtured over the past half-century and the strong determination of both nations, the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership will continue to grow in a more robust, comprehensive, and extensive manner, thus bringing more practical benefits to the two nations' people.
Highlighting the transformative potential of the draft law in revitalising Vietnam’s railway industry, Hoang Van Cuong, a deputy of Hanoi, expressed his support for Article 39, which empowers the Prime Minister to issue a list of railway-related goods and services to be assigned or ordered from domestic enterprises for production.
