Hanoi (VNA) - A team ofexperts from Samsung will support three Vietnamese firms in improving theircompetitiveness and capability to join the supply chains of Samsung and theglobe.

Accordingly, Minh Man PrintingTrading Production, Nhat Minh Design Manufacture, and Vinavit will be providedwith necessary training documents and free consulting services from theRepublic of Korea’s group.

Vietnamese companies often lack capabilityto forecast the market, leading to low sales and slow-moving inventory, so thatthere should be improvements in inventory management, said Chairman of SamsungElectronics Vietnam Kim Dohyung.

At the same time, these firms need toimprove their quality control management and productivity, he added.

Minh Man Printing Trading Productionis weak in planning, therefore it needs to be assisted in setting standards inplanning process, from receiving orders to designing plans for production, Kimsuggested.

He went on to say about Nhat MinhDesign Manufacture which has the same problems. The firm needs detailed plansfor each stage of production and should apply Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)to measure the performances of the stages, he said.

Samsung commits to providing the bestsupport for the companies but they should also play a more active role ininnovating production in order to enhance competitiveness and soon participatein the global supply chain, according to the chairman.-VNA
