Second "Online Friday" expects 25 million USD sales

The second "Online Friday," also known as "Online Shopping Day 2015," will likely record sales worth 25 million USD, according to Vietnam E-Commerce and Information Technology Agency.
The second "Online Friday," also known as "Online Shopping Day 2015,"will likely record sales worth 25 million USD, according to VietnamE-Commerce and Information Technology Agency.

The forthcomingshopping event, which is slated for December 5, is expected to attractmore than 2,500 businesses, added the agency that is under the Ministryof Industry and Trade.

During the first Online Friday, tradershad recorded sales worth 154 billion VND (7.23 million USD), the agencynoted, adding that more than 1,000 traders showcasing 3,226 products hadparticipated in the shopping event that was held on the first Friday ofDecember (December 5) via two websites, ngaymuasamtructuyen.vn andonlinefriday.vn.

The event had created an opportunity fore-commerce enterprises, including banks, delivery companies, and onlinesales shops, to improve their cooperation and the quality of theircustomer service.

On Online Friday, consumers who make onlinepurchases enjoy special discounts, free shipping of items, and otherincentives from participating businesses.-VNA
