A seminar to promote trade with Japan's Wakayama prefecture is scheduled to be held in Hanoi on March 12.
A seminar to promote trade with Japan's Wakayama prefecture is scheduled to be held in Hanoi on March 12.

Atthe workshop, which will be organised by the Vietnam Chamber ofCommerce and Industry (VCCI), representatives from five Japanesebusinesses operating in the fields of food, agricultural products,T-shaped screw and nut production and the manufacture of dry cleaningmachines, will brief participants about their plans to do business inVietnam.

The governor of Wakayama, which is famousfor several industries, such as agriculture, steel industry andpetrochemicals, will speak on the potential and development efforts ofthe prefecture at the event.

This will be a goodopportunity for Vietnamese businesses to meet and exchange information,as well as seek partnership with Japanese enterprises.-VNA

'Single-Stop' procedure at Lao Bao–Densavan border gate♐ halted

Effective from the date of signing on June 18, the decision halts procedures outlined in the 2005 Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the governments of Vietnam and Laos on the initial implementation of the Greater Mekong Subregion (GMS) Cross-Border Transport Facilitation Agreement at the Lao Bao–Densavan border gate.
