The presentation took place as a delegation of Vietnamese diplomats, ledby Deputy foreign Minister Bui Thanh Son, visited the Republic ofSerbia from July 3-5.
During the visit, theVietnamese delegation met with representatives from Serbia ’sMinistries of Foreign Affairs and of Economy and Regional Development,and the Foreign Policy Adviser to the Serbian President.
The Serbia side said they attract importance to strengthening andconsolidating its traditional friendship with Vietnam.
They also praised Vietnam for its great achievements after 26years of renewal, as well as its growing status around the world.
The two sides reached a consensus to boost bilateral cooperation inseveral fields, including economics, trade, education,telecommunications and defence industry.
Both agreedto hold negotiations as soon as possible to reach agreements oneconomic cooperation, double taxation avoidance, and investmentencouragement and protection.
Serbia and Vietnamshared the same viewpoint on the East Sea issue, agreeing that thedispute must be settled peacefully, on the basis of international law,in particular, the 1982 United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea.-VNA
