Singapore (VNA) - The authorities in Singapore hav♔e deported four Indonesians believed to have been en route to Syria to join the Islamic State (IS) terror group.

Local media reported that the four suspects, including a 15-year-old boy, were arrested at Woodlands checkpoint as they were making their way into Singapore from Malaysia’s Johor state.
Identified as Muhammad Mufid Murtadho, Untung Sugema Mardjuk, Mukhlis Koifur Rofiq and Risno, they are linked to radical ideologue Aman Abdurrahman, according to Indonesian police . Investigations show that Aman might have ordered an attack on January 14 in Jakarta from his jail cell in Nusakambangan prison, but it is unclear whether the four suspects deported from Singapore were involved in the hit.
The four were handed over to Indonesian police on Batam island on February 21 shortly after they were stopped at Woodlands. Investigations are under way to determine how they were managing to get to Syria. All had also gone on the Islamic pilgrimage to Mecca three times, with one of them having been to Syria, where he stayed for several weeks.-VNA
