Singaporean firms selected to design master plan for Da Nang
Da Nang authorities have selected Singaporean-based firms Sakae Corporate Advisory and Surbana Jurong to design the central city’s master plan and economic development strategy towards 2030.
Da Nang (VNA) – DaNang authorities have selected Singaporean-based firms Sakae Corporate Advisoryand Surbana Jurong to design the central city’s master plan and economicdevelopment strategy towards 2030.
The information was unveiled by Directorof the municipal Department of Construction Vu Quang Hung on February 20.
Earlier, on April 26, 2018, themunicipal People’s Committee, the Singapore Manufacturing Federation (SMF), andSakae Holdings Ltd., signed a memorandum of understanding on the introductionof Singaporean experts to help with the city’s master plan.
On December 3, 2018, in the officialdispatch No.1709/TTg-CN on the selection of advisers for the planning, thePrime Minister agreed for the work to be carried out in line with Article 26 ofthe 2013 Law on Bidding.
Later, on December 14 that year, onbehalf of the local authorities, the Management Board of Da Nang InfrastructureConstruction and Urban Development Projects signed a principal contract withthe two selected companies.
Accordingly, Sakae CorporateAdvisory – a subsidiary of Sakae Holdings Ltd., which offers corporate advisoryand strategic investor relations services – is set to assist Da Nang indesigning its economic development strategy toward 2030.
Meanwhile, the urban andinfrastructure development consultancy Surbana Jurong will take care of thecity’s master planning toward 2030 with a vision to 2050.–VNA
