Son tra, or Tao meo, is a signature tree in the northwestern region that has brought high economic efficiency to the region and helped improve local lives in recent years.
A grove of Son tra have blanketed Nam Nghiep in a white hue, adding to the local allure.
Located at some 2,000 metres above sea level, Nam Nghiep boasts favourable weather for growing Son tra. The village is now home to 1,600 hectares of the trees, 800 hectares of which boast hundred-year-old trees.
Son tra also offers opportunities for lo♎cal people to turn Nam Nghiep village into an attractive tourist destination.
