Spanish groups consider waste treatment project in Vinh Phuc

BPA GroupChairman Radjou Dupont said BPA and SACYR groups have implementedmultiple projects in waste and waste water treatment and public lightingsystem across the country. The groups use latestwaste disposal technology which saves costs and protects the environmentas waste will be classified to produce biogas, organic fertilizers andpower for lighting, Dupont noted.
He hoped that theprovincial authority would create favourable conditions for the groupsto build a waste treatment plant in Vinh Phuc which is designed to coveran area of 20-25 hectares and have a capacity of 1,000 tonnes per day. Vice Chairman Vu Chi Giang said Vinh Phuc currentlyhas three dumping sites capable of handling about 500 tonnes per day,and is ready to work with the Spanish groups on the most feasiblesolutions to waste treatment.
The provincialdepartments of Investment and Planning, and Natural Resources andEnvironment together with its trade promotion agency will provide allnecessary information on local waste treatment projects, including thelocality’s preferential policies for the sector, he added. At the meeting, the two sides also focused their discussion on a localurban lighting project which will be conducted under abuild-operate-transfer (BOT) contract.-VNA
