State President extends Tet greetings to former leaders

State President Luong Cuong visited his predecessors Nguyen Minh Triet and Truong Tan Sang on January 14, ahead of the Lunar New Year (Tet) and the 95th founding anniversary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3, 1930 - 2025).

Hanoi (VNA) – St💙ate President Luong Cuong visited his predecessors Nguyen Minh Triet and Truong Tan Sang on January 14, ahead of the Lunar New Year (Tet) and the 95th founding anniversary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3, 1930 - 2025).

Cuong enquired after the two former Presidents and expressed his hope that they will continue utilising their wisdom and experience to contribute more to national development. He also appreciated their dedications to the Party’s revolutionary cause, the promotion of the country’s stature and prestige, as well as the enhancement of the great national solidarity.

As the Year of the Snake is coming, he presented gifts to Triet and Sang, wishing them and their families good health, happiness, and more success in the new year.
For their part, the former Presidents thanked the Party and State leaders, including Cuong, for their sentiments and care. They also voiced their belief that under the Party’s leadership, Vietnam will obtain even greater achievements in 2025 to make breakthroughs in national construction and development./.
