Support to overseas Vietnamese students, youths enhanced

Hanoi (VNA) – The Secretariat of the Ho ChiMinh Communist Youth Union (HCYU) Central Committee on March 13 held an onlinemeeting with the Vietnamese Students’ Association, the Vietnamese Youths andStudents Association, and representatives of the HCYU abroad.
Although the COVID-19 pandemic affected theorganisation of major activities connecting youths and students last year, relevantassociations rolled out suitable activities, the meeting heard.
The associations, notably those in the Republic ofKorea (RoK), Singapore, the Netherlands and Australia, have taken specificactions to support young people in startup.
They have also contributed to promoting Vietnam’s imageto the world and established groups of volunteers to assist overseas Vietnamesestudents.
Standing Secretary of the HCYU Central Committee and Presidentof the Vietnamese Students’ Association Bui Quang Huy lauded the operation ofVietnamese students’ associations in foreign countries.
The associations should play a more active role instrengthening solidarity between Vietnamese students abroad, he said.
Huy also urged students to raise awareness of COVID-19prevention and control measures, and observe recommendations of competent agencies./.
The Vietnamese Students’ Association in Italy (ASVI) convened its first congress for the 2021-2023 tenure in the form of videoconference on January 29.
The Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union's Hanoi chapter has cooperated with recruitment platform TopCV.vn to launch a campaign to provide 90,000 job opportunities to Vietnamese students and youngsters in and outside the country.

It is also a moment for Vietnam’s media to accelerate its progress and figure out what the “revolutionary press” means in a new era.
From “Thanh nien”, Vietnam’s first revolutionary newspaper founded by Nguyen Ai Quoc (later President Ho Chi Minh) on June 21, 1925, the revolutionary press has remained devoted to its sacred missions -accompanying the nation, serving the Fatherland, and working for the people.
