Hanoi (VNA) - The Live and Learn for Environment and Community(Live and Learn Vietnam) organized an online talkshow “When young people dogreen economy” on December 26, as part of the “Green Generation Youth Actionfor Climate and Sustainable Energy” project sponsored by the Danish Embassy inVietnam.

Speaking at the event, Nguyen Thi Thanh Thu, an agricultureexpert, and a member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam DigitalAgriculture Association said that at the 26th United Nations Climate ChangeConference of the Parties (COP26) held in Glasgow in October, Vietnam committedto net zero emissions by 2050.

This commitment has impressed international friends but willbe a big challenge for Vietnam. In that context, the seminar was organised to introduceenvironmentally-friendly economic models, helping ensure the sustainable developmentamong young people - the group that accounts for about 70 percent of thepopulation.

At the seminar, speakers also introduced projects ondeveloping green (organic) agricultural models, and proposed directions for sustainable development of the green economy such as applying agriculturalknowledge and appropriate technology to production to supply the domesticmarket and export trends; consumer education to change people's awareness, and replicatingeffective models./.
