Thai Binh works to attract big investors in industry
The northern province of Thai Binh has rolled out policies in promoting the development of the industrial sector at large and supporting industries in particular, with priorities given to garment-textile, mechanics and electrical/electronic devices.

Hanoi (VNA) – The northern province of Thai Binh hasrolled out policies in promoting the development of the⛎ industrial sector atlarge and supporting industries in particular, with priorities given togarment-textile, mechanics and electrical/electronic devices.
Local authoritiessaid that supporting industries have served as a driving force for garment-textile,greatly contributing to the province’s export growth. Thai Binh iscurrently home to 234 garment-textile and footwear firms, of which 44 are operatingin supporting industries. The provincial People’s Committee affirmed that it will focus onthe development of supporting industries in garment-textile, electronics,mechanical engineering and pottery, viewing it as a driving force for the localindustrial development. To attract investment in such fields, the province has devised numerousmeasures, underlining solutions in administrative reform, human resources andtraining programmes. In addition, it will continue to bolster investment promotion,calling for investment from big corporations and companies, and buildingincentives for foreign firms which pledge to transfer technology to and provide support for local counterparts in supporting industries. Local authorities will also work to remove bottlenecks facing firms, and assist garment-textile, electronicsand mechanics enterprises in their efforts to integrate into the global supply chain./.
The People’s Committee of the northern province of Thai Binh recently handed over investment registration certificates to investors of projects worth nearly 600 million USD, which are hoped to create a driving force for the local socio-economic development.
